{Where have we been?}

Sorry I haven't posted for a while.  Some of you (Gigi and Aunt Katie) have been all over me to post :)  I have been a little busy with poor Murphy.  He had surgery last Wednesday and on Friday decided he didn't want the drain they put in to help his incision heal, in anymore.  We went to dinner Friday night and was gone for 1.5 hours and he had pulled it out and ate it.  Gross and ouch!  So I rushed him to the vet where they said he was ok, but the next day he was in a LOT of pain :( They thought it was from him pulling the drain out, but on Sunday it was worse.  I took him back to the vet and they found he has an infection.  They aren't sure what kind of infection it is, so he has been at the vet since Sunday afternoon.  They take really good care of him and he is being watched 24/7.  I hope he gets to come home soon, but want them to figure out what is wrong so he doesn't have to go back. 

 This is Wednesday night right after he came home.  He was pretty out of it.  I had to sleep on the floor next to him, or else he cried the whole night :(

 This was Thursday morning.  He was feeling a little better.  He felt really good on Friday, pre-drain incident.  I dropped off his duck toy Sunday night, along with food and pain meds.  He seemed to be in good spirits.  The medical unit at the vet is a sad place, and I prefer not to have to go back there again. A vet tech was laying in the kennel with one of the other sick doggies.  Ugh! You know they aren't feeling good when someone walks in and none of the dogs got up or barked.  Will keep you posted...

In other news...
Madison tried cereal the other night for the first time.  She wasn't too sure if she liked it or not...



She was more interested in her new bib than the cereal...we will try again this week.  (notice the dirty look she is giving me)

Here is Madison, watching UNC lose...She is also sucking her thumb and talking at the same time.  She was getting ready to Skype with her Auntie and fur cousins, Riley and Duncan.  :) 

{New Toys}

Last weekend we bought an exersauser for Madison.  She really likes it!  Her tippy toes touch the ground, but just barely.  She loves to focus on the toys and then when she drops something can get a little frustrated...Everything goes in her mouth now.  She must be starting to get teeth.  She also drools a ton!

I just realized that her leg was stuck when I took these pictures, so she looks like she only has 1 leg...ha!

Just Hanging Out

It has been raining a lot here lately, so we have been spending a lot of time indoors.  So much for sunny California...  Below Mario and Madison are relaxing on the couch watching some basketball.

Road Trip

This past weekend Mario, Madison and I went to see the Golden Gate Bridge.  We drove across to Sonoma to view the bridge from Vista Park.  Next time I would like to view the bridge from the other side. *correction...it was Sausalito, not Sonoma :)*

Sooo Big

Madison is such a big girl!  We put her in her crib this past Friday for the first time and she has been there ever since!  She had been sleeping 8:30pm to 7:30am.  The past 2 days she has woken up at 5:00am.  I'm hoping she goes back to sleeping until 7:30, but we will see!  She is so happy when she wakes up.  She just lays there talking to herself.  BTW... It usually isn't that sunny in her room...I had just opened the blinds :)

Name That Bird

 These birds below are all over the golf course in the mornings and evenings.  There is also a little pond in the back so I'm not sure if they are there to graze the golf course or the pond....they look like a Blue Heron only white.

MIA

So, I just started this blog and already I am MIA...I have been a little busy with Mr. Murphy aka Brudder.  He was supposed to have surgery on Wednesday to remove the large tumor on his lower stomach, but his allergies are terrible right now so they want to wait until that clears up.  They didn't decide this until AFTER I had already dropped him off for the day at the vet. They then decided they should do a biopsy to make sure they know what it is before they go in to take it out.  Our vet in Cincinnati already did an aspiration, and they think it is benign and is a Basil Tumor?  They are making me nervous by wanting to do more tests, and I hope they know what they are doing.  I'm sure they do, I just ask 5000 questions and have a feeling they are getting annoyed with me.  Oh, well.  He is my baby :( will post more later!

One down...

110 days left to go...until Megan's wedding.  We joined a gym this weekend and today was my first day going.  Madison hung out in the Club Kids area.  She had a lot of fun!  When I picked her up she was talking and smiling with her new friends.

Saturday night we grilled out some steaks and Madison worked tummy time.  Here Murphy was trying to show her how to roll over.  He is such a good big Brudder!

{Super Bowl}

 We headed over to Bill and Julie's to watch the Super Bowl.  Madison was very into the game...or maybe just the commercials.  :)  She looks so small in between Mario and Bill...this picture cracks me up!

 

Little Miss Tippy

Hi!  My name is Madison, aka, Tippy.  My Gigi gave me the name Tippy because I love to point my Tippy Toes!  My mom says I am going to be a Ballerina and star in the Nutcracker...her favorite Ballet.  This blog is created after many requests pressure from Aunt Katie.  We just moved from Cincinnati to sunny Northern California and this is the best way for everyone to see what we are up to.  I will probably let my mom do most of the updating since this post took all of my energy and now I am starting to fall asleep.  Brudder, aka Murphy, is passed out too so mom is going to catch up on the Housewives and Glee.  Will post again soon!
